The Material
Pure chemistry and fine-art papers chosen for their quality and their feel.

Born from the Camp Fire that wiped the town of Paradise, California off the map in 2018, Maxime Riché’s series uses infrared film to photograph the survivors’ memory and rebuilding. Printed as a resinotype — a pigment process with gelatin and resin, rich in texture and depth. Hand-made at the Maison Picturale studio in Paris, using non-toxic chemistry (Vision Picturale recipes).

Pure chemistry and fine-art papers chosen for their quality and their feel.

Reconnect with making. Coating, exposure and development are creative rituals.

Each print is a unique piece, with its own grain, nuances and materiality.
